Who is Elemental Parenting?

Elemental Parenting is Henry and Erin Zonio. Henry and Erin have been married almost 12 years and are the parents of four children ages ten, eight, four and two. Henry and Erin believe that there is no such thing as a perfect parent, and that is OK. This blog is their attempt at sharing what they have learned and continue to learn on this insane adventure called parenthood.

Henry Zonio is going on 11 years of sleep deprivation. In his lucid moments, he is a husband of one and father of four. Ever since high school, Henry has been interested in topics surrounding children, families, parenting and marriage. Henry has served as a children’s pastor in the United States and Canada for 10 years. Currently, Henry is the children’s pastor at Redwood Park Church in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In his capacity as a children’s pastor, Henry has been able to walk alongside parents as they’ve navigated the various stages of their family growth. One of Henry’s desires is to encourage, equip and empower parents with the confidence they need to raise children with godly character and values. Henry is also the author of the Elemental Children’s Ministry blog, which focuses on the mutual influence of children’s ministry and culture.

Erin Zonio is a stay-at-home mom of four great kids and is married to a children’s pastor. Erin loves to learn from as well as share her life experiences with young women and fellow moms. When not being a cook, maid, tailor, groomer, taxi driver, judge, advocate, nurse, and entertainer… to name a few, Erin is a do-it-yourself-er. She’d rather try to make everything from scratch if she has the time. And not just food; she loves to sew, create art and even take on a home renovation project now and then. Erin loves the creative process, from the dreaming to the developing to the doing. Erin is also the author of the Finding Color in the Gray blog where she uses her love of words to express the journey of discovering color in the ordinary gray-ness of life.
